— arkivert under:

Progressive rock music

Serendipity coverFinn Arild is currently working on a new progressive rock concept album named Testament. The story is about our current tale of how the universe started,  life developed and the consequences of human development. This time he is joined by Mikael Wikman, a Stockholm based drummer who previously have worked on several progressive rock releases.

On his debut album Serendipity, Finn Arild has his own firm grip on recording and production, as well as coverdesign and layout. Assisted by co-producer Tor Øyvind Quille, Serendipity has become a catchy and exiting, yet intriguing and interesting pop/rock album with roots in progressive rock music.

For over 50 minutes and 12 tracks Finn Arild moves from catchy popsongs like "Take Two and Call Me in the Morning" and the ballad "Love Me or Not", via the borderline psychedelic "Nightly Encounters" and "Name and the Dance of the Monopods" (with it's original, classical Norwegian folk ending), to progressive rock diamonds like the humoristic "Betting your Ass on a Donkey" and the intense "Riding the Nightmare".
